At 33, Emma was told she had less than a 1% chance of conceiving naturally. Her test results indicated so low a likelihood of success she was disqualified from IVF through the NHS.

After six years, 14 fertility treatments in the UK and abroad, three miscarriages, and two children, Emma set up Hard to Conceive. Her hope for the project is to let real life experiences offer unique and different perspectives on all the ways you might create a family.

“When you’re facing the fact it’s going to be a much bigger fight than you anticipated - knowledge, and camaraderie can make . Our aim in carefully curating these stories is to offer insight and comfort to anyone feeling lost or alone in their own fight by showing them all the paths they might take”

This project will have been a success if it highlights the valuable lessons learned from individuals who have navigated significant changes, offering support to others in their choices.
